<description>Given Ireland&#039;s current economic difficulties is this not also an appropriate time to revisit the terms of the deal itself.

Under the current arrangement Irelands natural resources will not be providing the benefits to the country that they should, and it is hence appropriate that the government re-engage with the oil company and pursue a fair deal for Ireland.

<description>I applaud your courageous protests against the morally bankrupt company, Shell. I am Australian, and have only just become aware of your campaign while researching the activites of Shell. I have boycotted Shell (and encouraged my friends and family to do the same) , since the role of the company in the death of Nigerian writer and activist, Ken Saro Wiwa.

I am currently attempting to lobby companies (such as my partner&#039;s company, Bytecam, to boycott Shell also (hence the research).

I want to say how much I admire you for having the courage of your convictions, and to reassure you that there are people all over the world who do care and that all we have to do is believe that we are the people, we are the voice and we can and must make a difference. Thank you. Keep believing in yourself.

Sincerely,
